Six Months Old

Hi Everyone!! It's my HALF BIRTHDAY!! I am now 6 months old. This past month has by far been my most EXCITING!! I've been in California, and went to Dallas, Texas for my first time. But most importantly, since I've been here I've grown an inch, I'm now 27 inches long and gained 3 pounds making me a whooping 20 pounds!! I can sit up pretty darn good, mostly unassisted, and I LOVE to stand. I don't like to sit too much, and I fight anyone who tries to sit me down, because I'd rather stand. I cannot stand on my own yet, so I need help, and have to hold someone's hand, but again, I'd rather do that then be sitting. I'm still sleeping pretty good through the night, had a rough time in the beginning adjusting, but now I'm sleeping for a good 8 hours. I've had a lot of firsts this past month... I went to the L.A. County Fair, my first high school football game, where Uncle Michael, mommy, and Aunt Sarah all went, the Texas State Fair, ate oatmeal and a biscuit, got my first pumpkin from Tia Maria (Aunt Maria), and my first pair of sunglasses from Grandma Carls, went to the beach, and saw my first on location TV Show taping. I've also learned I can make people laugh with the new funny face I make can make. When I got back from Dallas, my Nana (Naw Naw) came to visit me from Buffalo. Her and I both went to Santa Monica Beach, it was my very first time, and her first time in the Pacific Ocean. It was a beautiful day, and I enjoyed being in the fresh air. When I first touched the sand with my feet I liked it, and mommy helped me walk down towards the water. Once I got closer to the wet sand, I started to not like it, and the minute I touched the water I let out a big cry. I DID NOT like the water!! Nana and mommy said it wasn't that cold, but I still didn't like it. Nana and I also went to Beverly Hills and Rodeo drive for the first time. A great friend of Grandma Carls', Annette met us at the beach and gave us a tour of the area. In Beverly Hills we got to see where Annette grew up, she let me play with a stuffed monkey, WHICH I LOVED, and down the road from her house is where we got to see the tv show being taped. It was for an episode of Modern Family. Mommy and Grandma Carls like the show, but Nana and Annette didn't know what it was. We had a great day with her, and she was so excited to meet me, and I was so happy to have met her. She will be coming to stay with us at grandma's house, for a visit. I'm looking forward to going to two birthday parties this month, one is a Halloween costume party, and I will be an owl. Mommy and grandma are making my costume, and mommy cannot wait to see me in it. I'm still missing daddy very much, and he misses me too. We try to skype every day so he can see me, and watch me grow.
